New World - Server Transfers Are Coming Back

The developers of MMORPG New World have taken to the official site to reveal that Server Transfers and Outpost Rush are being re-enabled for players worldwide as a part of update 1.0.4. Check out the blog post to check out the downtime schedules for the corresponding regions.

You can find the full list of Update 1.0.4 Patch Notes on the official site. The changes include slightly improved performance within Wars, removing the Everfall starting beach, a variety of bug fixes and much more.

Amazon Games previously revealed that the server transfer feature has been put on stop to deal with players that used an exploit and duped in-game currency. Players that have deliberately used this exploit to gain advantage had been banned and the ill-gained goods had been removed.

“We’ve transferred approximately 150K players since character transfers went live. A small number of those have resulted in characters with an invalid data state that needs to be corrected. We’ve done that for those affected last night, but there are a still some new transfers affected that we see happening. We have paused character transfers and evaluate how we can prevent future occurrences of this problem. When that is resolved we’ll resume the service, with an announcement ahead of time.”
