One Year of Lost Ark has slipped by since the MMOARPG launched in February 8, 2022, and Amazon is eager to celebrate with a look back at all the times you won and lost in Artesia.
Amazon Games, the publisher set to wield the mystical Blue Protocol and behind the 2022 launch of New World, is celebrating the first anniversary of lost Ark. After arriving on PC screens with a westernized port of this fantasy adventure, Lost Ark has heralded some success for Amazon’s gaming division. The last 12 months has seen a decent concurrent player base of around 150,000 players on Steam, plenty of updates, crossovers, and more to come. For now, Amazon has dropped a look back at a year in numbers, and it looks like some of us could up our game a bit. With 1.6 billion deaths, the shores of Arkesia are littered with corpses. However, it looks like it was worth it. Over 25 million Abyss Dungeons were cleared, and that’s a lot of loot.
As if to hammer home the fact that the game is here to stay, it racked up over 313 million twitch hours watched on Twitch, while nearly 800,000 guilds came together to overcome evil. You can check out the full stats in the infographic.
More To Come
While nostalgia is great, Lost Ark is moving on with the new year of content and kicking off some celebrations. New in-game events, valuable rewards, Twitch Drops and more will land in game soon. Twitch Drops can be turned on by applicable creators, and earned by watching those twitch streams. Drops include a Traditional Punikan Clothing Selection Chest, the 1st Anniversary Headband selection Chest, along with 1,000 Amethyst Shard. These will be live until February 27, so tune in. If you feel like that isn’t enough incentive to watch and stream, then the Lost Ark team are going to drop by Twitch Streams from February 8 to 18 and sub-gift 50 streamers.
The new in game anniversary event challenges players to hunt down birthday cards which have been scattered all around Arkesia and earn in-game rewards that include skins, honing materials, card packs, and more. Additionally, expect a Fever-Time Event to run from February 8-21. This provides a total of 6 potential rewards from food to Pheons.
Far beyond these events, there’s even more incoming. The new continent of Rowan awaits with new terrors, events, and tales scattered among tis foreboding land. The full patch notes and details of the anniversary celebrations are available on the official Lost Ark website. If you haven’t tried out Lost Ark then you can pick it up now on PC for around $19.99 or local equivalent.
