Palworld developer Pocket Pair and KLab Inc have announced a new development project.
The team behind the controversial new pocket monster survival adventure Palworld are already working on a new game. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean the colorful new title is being ditched, but there is a brand-new development project in gestation. Tokyo based KLab Inc and Pocket Pair have announced that they will be working together to jointly develop and operate a hybrid-casual game.
While neither party has announced a ton on the details of this venture, we do know that KLab’s production experience and mobile gaming teams is expected to leverage the planning and PR prowess of of Pocket pair to create, ” a hybrid-casual game made for smartphones.”
We also know that things are already moving along. Joint development between the two companies began in 2020, and after numerous prototypes and KPI tests, the project is finally ready for commercialization.
Players will probably recognize KLab’s library, having worked on a host of anime IP spin offs, from Bleach brave Souls to Captain Tsubasa: Dream Team.
Whether that means Palworld will have less eyes on it inside Pocket Pair, we don’t know. We will be keeping an eye on things and seeing what exactly comes out of Palworld developer Pocket Pairs’s imagination next. Check out the full press release here.
