Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, the epic CRPG from Owlcat Games, has sold a stellar 1 Million copies.
Owlcat might be busy putting the finishing touches to an intriguing new adventure in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, but the team the studio behind the desktop version of the Kingmaker CRPG series certainly hasn’t forgotten the rest of its library. After rolling onto screens across PC and console in 2021, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous has shifted over 1 Million copies worldwide. Now available across PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch (cloud version), the success of this incredible tale is no real surprise. After a hyped Kickstarter campaign that raised $ 2,054,339, the game garnered popular praise and a stunning 9.5 score here at Gamespace.
Despite the huge numbers, that doesn’t mean that development is don, according to word from Owlcat:
“Reaching such a milestone again with our second game is a very important sign for us that the company is developing in the right direction. – says Alexander Mishulin, Creative Director at Owlcat Games – We are keen on bringing the best CRPG experience on the market and will continue to fill the rich world of Pathfinder with more content including premium and free DLCs.”

Fans of this indirect sequel will already know that a whole host of DLC add ons are ready and waiting, from Inevitable Excess through to The Treasure of the Midnight Isles. If you’ve already overcome these challenges, the first premium DLC from Season Pass 2 is going to be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 7th, 2023. Switch owners will have to wait, however. The Last Sarkorians premium DLC will introduce a new companion for the Knight Commander’s party and a new playable class. The Shifter is a generally a class tied to nature in the tabletop versions of pathfinder Closer to Druids than spell slinging classes, the Shifter melds shapeshifting and the fearsome forces of the forest to deal devastating and surprising power. You’ll need to sit back and grab the upcoming DLC to find out how that plays out on screen.
