PNY GeForce RTX 4070 cards are here, and it looks like PC gamers can max out 1440p gaming from $599.
PNY has unveiled three GeForce RTX 4070 cards. The PC components manufacturer already has a range of RGB fuelled 40 series cards for gaming rigs, but this new release is likely to bring one of the best value Nvidia offers in recent years onto shelves. Coming right off the back of the release of the new RTX 4070 series.
The PNY Verto is a dual fan edition of the new series, while the XLR8 Gaming EPIC-X RGB Triple Fan and XLR8 Gaming EPIC-X RGB Triple Fan Overclocked round up this lineup. All the new cards feature 12GB of fast GDDR6X memory, alongside the ultra-efficient NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture. They also feature the latest AI and DLSS enhancements, meaning that should make up for the lack of extra cores crammed into Nvidia’s specifications. This all means the included DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1 ports should be able to output 1440 at some of the highest rates on offer at their price point, assuming you don’t want to get into ray tracing.
With sleek metal backplates, significant cooling, and an astoundingly low power draw, there’s a lot to be said for these new GPUs, and the PNY range looks like a great buy if you’ve been holding out. The entry point isn’t much beyond a PlayStation 5, and if you’re aiming for 4K gaming then this is not the right end of the market to be looking at. You can check out more about the latest PNY GeForce RTX 4070 cards over on the official website now or toy with the rest of the range in PC Building Simulator 2.
