Rocket League Sideswipe Pre Season Kicks Off In Oceania

Rocket League Sideswipe, the mobile alternative to Psyonix’s massive motorized soccer sim, kicked off pre season last night in Oceania.

Revving up on iOS and Android, the latest entry into the Rocket league roster is now in pre-season competition. Giving fans of the franchise a chance to get an early hands on with the stand alone mobile offering, this announcement introduces the Rocket Pass, Competitive Ranks, and a myriad of customization options to a select region of players ahead of the full launch. Thankfully the rest of the globe won’t have to wait too long to catch up on iOS and Android, with additional regions due to go live throughout November and a full worldwide Pre-Season coming very soon, according to Psyonix.

For those that missed the off ramp, Rocket League Sideswipe isn’t another in game event for the hugely successful PC and console offering. Instead, this is a free to play mobile offering, parking up on iOS and Android storefronts. Payers picking up the title when it goes live will find themselves at the wheel of a different take on the established chaos. Players will compete in fast paced 2 minute private matches with friends or take on opponents across the internet in competitive mode using a new touch screen set of controls. In addition to the traditional Soccar mode, Sideswipe also includes a Hoops mode, plenty of high energy backing tracks from Monstercat, and a different perspective to the Rocket League you might already know.

We don’t know if this will quite have the same traction as the big screen Rocket League, which welcomed Ghostbusters back onto the pitch this week, but if your ready to try out your skills on the go then check out the official Rocket League website for more details about the upcoming pre-season launch in your region.
