Skunkape Games has announced the release of the remastered Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space is now available for Windows PC, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Players can get hold of the beloved game for $19.99 via the Microsoft Store, Steam, or the Nintendo eShop.
The game has been retooled for modern systems by some of the original developers of the Telltale game. Telltale closed its door in 2018 but these four devs acquired the rights to the game and have remastered all three seasons of Sam & Max. So far, Seasons 1-2 are live with Season 3 coming soon.
The remaster features some great new and updated features including:
- 16:9 aspect ration and the highest resolution a player’s hardware allows
- dynamic lighting
- improved lip sync
- play with point & click mouse controls, keyboard/mouse, or gamepad
- remastered and re-encoded audio
- all character models have been tweaked
- new menus
- new opening credits sequences
- “punched up” scenes with new acting and camerawork
- new exterior locations for “establishing shots”
- new music
- new voice actor for Bosco
