Retro Goal has just gone free to play across iOS and Android mobiles, fuelling your on-the-go soccer fever.

New Star Games has just announced that Retro Goal, the 90’s themed soccer sim, has just gone free to play across iOS and Android devices, Players picking up this throwback throw in can take a freekick wherever they have a phone just by heading to the Apple Ap Store or Google Play store right now. The news means that players no longer have to pay to continue playing this game. Previously, limitations were imposed on the experience, as the devs do need to eat after all. Now, players no longer have to pay to continue playing after the previous limit, and the game continues to be an advert-free experience

Instead of artificial limits on the beautiful game, anybody with the means can purchase an optional “unlimited mode” which has the following benefits.

  • 500 Free Bux
  • Global Championship tournament mode
  • Additional Difficulty options
  • Additional Season Length options
  • Weather effects
  • The ability to save players in the Hall of Fame
  • All future planned features, such as an in-game editor (coming soon)

1990’s football might have plenty of problems, but its soccer sims were defiantly not one of them. This era inspired innumerable Sensible Soccer knock offs and arcade kickabout classics. Retro Goal fits comfortably into that arcade sporting and the palm of your hand. A mix of fast and exciting arcade soccer action and simple team management come loaded up alongside graphics that are an homage to the 16-bit era of gaming.
