Season: A Letter To The Future Trailer Looks Ahead To Launch

Season: A Letter To The Future dropped a trailer today that reveals an enchanting future is ahead of us.

Developer Scavenger Studio just dropped a look at the world of tomorrow in a brand new trailer for Season: A Letter To The Future. The incoming artsy adventure is due to land on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC on 31 January. Before that happens, we can all gaze in awe at the emotional and thought-provoking world that awaits. The look ahead also introduces some of the characters that inhabit this tale.

Kochi, a young boy, takes you on a bicycle tour of a valley the day finds it flooded later the same day. Maytora follows this. The outsider artist documents the story of the valley through her sculptures. You’re the only witness to her final piece. Easel also makes an appearance. This unusually attired monk is the last of their kin left in Tieng Valley. Left behind by his teachers and friends, Easel awaits the change of the season in isolation, with out anything to looks forward to until it does.

While you explore this realm by bike, you can stop at any time, take out a recording tool and capture the unique moods of each surrounding. There are plenty of wonders to record and mysteries to unravel, whether you take notes, pitcture, or more. This documentation of the end might seem melancholy, but there’s a Ghibli quality to it that falls somewhere towards thoughtful moments of Isao Takahata.

If this scrapbook of ideas, mixed together by a beautiful aesthetic and a wonderfully evolving soundtrack doesn’t inspire you to get out and meet the locals, maybe the trailer will. Check it out above and head over to the official website before picking up Season: A Letter To The Future on n PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 for $29.99 USD and Steam and Epic Games Store for $24.99 USD on January 31, 2023.
