The Gentlebros and Kepler Interactive have announced that Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean is preparing to set sail in 2024. The game is being developed for major platforms including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. This game marks the latest installment in the long-running series but takes off in an entirely new direction.
The development team released a new trailer to show fans what they can expect when the game launches in 2024.
Players take on the role of “a swashbuckling purrivateer” in a 2.5D world that is, of course, pirate-themed. Players will face off against “Pirats” while searching for the mythical Northern Star, a long-lost treasure sure to please any feline. Players navigate treacherous seas in their own ships and can tackle the game with friends or set sail on a solo adventure. In addition, pirates will also find a variety of dungeon and biomes to explore.
From firing cannonballs to shooting elemental shells, your very own pirate ship will equip you with all the best pirate-worthy tools to defeat even the most furr-orocious foes. Back on land, master the game’s newly refined combat system to prevail over the Pi-rat hoards scurrying in every corner of the archipelago. With a litany of new weapons and spells to get your paws on, the game’s new weapon-swapping mechanic will allow you to switch between weapons on the fly and create claw-some attack combos.
