Songs of Conquest Got Update 0.91 'Initiative Improved'

Developer Lavapotion is rapidly approaching the full release date of turn-based strategy Songs of Conquest. The game got verified for Steam Deck in December, and now the team works on fixing issues and polishing the game rather than adding new features. The latest update 0.91 is titled ‘Initiative Improved’.

“Due to internal serialization changes, some of the (mainly) campaign saves will be invalidated with this version. Either restart the map or use our new Beta branch called 0-90-classic- version to solve this!”

It isn’t the first Initiative rework that the team’s done, and it might not be the last either. Most units have had their initiative changed in one way or another. There are many more things in the works such as reworking the campaigns, making difficulty adjustments, and more.

“Our AI keeps learning, and now it is better than ever at using portals and settlements as a way to get out of harm’s way when faced against unsurpassable odds. Sometimes charging straight into a powerful force just isn’t the smartest thing to do after all.”
