Developer Crimson Herring Studios released Victorian fantasy steampunk RPG Sovereign Syndicate. The game offers three unique characters with branching, intertwining stories: an orphaned minotaur magician, a corsair with a checkered past and a trusty automaton. Each has their own mix of skills, gear and expertise that will help them traverse this fantasy version of London. Explore the back alleys, opium dens, brothels, and more at your peril, or relax and enjoy their simple pleasures. Investigate, interact, and take action to forge your own path.
It is up to you to choose how to approach any given situation. Will you combat your adversaries? Talk your way out? Use magic or explosives? The choice is yours, but so are the consequences. In the end, the trio might have to work together to succeed, but should they trust each other? Not everyone is a hero after all.
The team promises that NPC’s react to your gender, race, appearance, and choice of dialogue, so you’d better look and act the part if you want the “right” results. But not everything is certain, luck plays a role and it’s all in the cards with the tarot card chance system.
