Still on Community Lockdown? Here are Some Movie Franchises to Binge Watch

When the Covid-19 pandemic was announced, almost all countries have announced lockdown. No business establishments were allowed to open, no public gatherings such as concerts or outings, no fitness centers, and even recreation centers like parks and movie theaters were not allowed to operate. While some parts of the world have already lifted lockdown orders, some still, is making it safe for their people, so they still implement lockdown. If you are in these areas, you do not have to worry, you can keep yourself busy by continuing to work from home if you are employed, you can start a new hobby, or enjoy watching movie franchises that you never watched completely because you were busy then. This is one thing the lockdown has brought to our home, the value of time with ourselves and our families.

There are various movie franchises that you can watch. Most of us would think these only franchises that are available are the well-known twilight or the star wars sagas. There are other franchises, you can check some of them listed below:

The Hunger Games

The  Hunger Games is a faithful adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ best-selling novel. The fictional story tells about a 16-year old hunter who joins a group of teenagers to compete in a combat spectacle that is being shown annually through television. The film goes further by showing how the studio owners can manipulate the action as they want it to happen, to create a better draw of the audience to their television program. At almost nine-hour run time, you will not  notice yourself stuck on the couch enjoying all four series:

  • The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (2hrs 26 mins)
  • The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay Part 1 (2 hrs 3 mins)

Marvel’s Avengers Movies

If you are an Avengers fan, it will take you a total of 48 hours and 28 minutes to watch all their ensemble movies. And to be able to understand the whole story, you can actually watch them according to Marvel Cinematic Universe TimeLine (MCU) as compared before in cinemas, they were just premiered at any time of the year. If you check on the MCU timeline some stories are prequels to another. It would be very much interesting if you try to binge-watch them accordingly.

Harry Potter

If you are a fan of Harry and so much interested in wizardry, let the boredom of lockdown make you feel like a visitor in Hogwarts again. You can spend about 19 hours and 40 minutes to watch the adventures of Harry and his friends. All stories are adaptations of J.K. Rowling’s book and it had eight movie releases:

  • Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (2 hrs 32 mins)
  • Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2 hrs 41 mins)
  • Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2 hrs 22 mins)
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2 hrs 37 mins)
  • Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2 hrs 19 mins)
  • Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2 hrs 33 mins)

Movies 1

With the current situation, this is the best time to enjoy movie franchises such as those mentioned above, while you can still have a lot of options. This is your opportunity to catch up with missed series or parts. We never know when the pandemic will end, but we should make our time well spent while locked down in our own homes.
