Humble Games and Summerfall Studios have announced that Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical will now launch on August 10, 2023. It was originally slated to be released on August 3rd, but Summerfall devs didn’t want to conflict with Baldur’s Gate 3, one of this year’s most anticipated games.
We’re counting the days, and we know you are too, but we need to make a slight adjustment to the calendar. We’re moving our launch date to August 10th, 2023.
We want everyone to have ample space to check out Stray Gods when it launches. Baldur’s Gate 3 is hotly anticipated (by us, too!) and we want to give our fans room to celebrate Stray Gods.
In addition, developers relay the news that the extra week of development time means that the team will have a bit longer to bring all versions of the game into parity with one another. “This is a huge undertaking for any team, let alone an indie shipping its first title.” developers wrote.

About Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical
Stray Gods is set in a modern fantasy world where college dropout Grace is granted the power of a Muse – power she’ll need to find out the truth behind her predecessor’s death before time runs out. Players will decide who Grace allies with, who she can trust, and who may betray her in this beautifully hand-illustrated roleplaying musical. With fully interactive musical numbers composed by Grammy-nominated composer Austin Wintory, Tripod, and Eurovision Australia’s own Montaigne and performed by an all-star cast, players will feel like they’re on the stage. With thousands of potential variations based on choices, players will craft the soundtrack to their own one-of-a-kind musical experience.
