Nintendo has released a Super Mario Odyssey overview trailer that gives players a glimpse of what they can expect in the game, including a variety of locations as well as a closer look at Mario’s own hat. Mario can use Cappy to take out bad guys, reach new areas, control enemies and much more. Check it out above!

It is the first Mario game for the Nintendo Switch. It’s also the first game in the series where Mario will find himself in the real world of New York City, on a quest, as ever to rescue Princess Peach from Bowser. In Odyssey, Mario embarks on a new journey through unknown worlds, running and jumping through huge 3D worlds in the first sandbox-style Mario game since Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. NYC won’t be the only world Mario visits, as this game is a bit Mario and a bit Doctor Who. It launches in Holiday 2017 for the Nintendo Switch.
