Talking Tom Time Rush Catch Up Tips

Talking Tom Time Rush Catch Up Tips

Prepare for a dash through history with our Talking Tom Time getting started tips.

Talking Tom Time Rush launch across iOS and Android storefronts last week, taking the chatty feline and friends in a very different direction than we’re used to. Getting off the starting line and chasing after a nefarious raccoon, Tom, Angela, Ginger, and the rest of their friends take a much-loved set of cartoon characters on an endless run. However, if you were late to the races for this free-to-play runner, then check out our hints and tips for getting to the front of the pack.

Play It Safe

Getting to grips with the controls in Talking Tom Time Rush isn’t difficult. Swiping left and right while you steadily barrel through three-lane highways is easy enough, but there a plenty of ways to trip up. Whether it’s incoming traffic or crumbling ruins, you’ll be able to choose from a variety of paths, leaps, or slides to get around obstacles, but the reward comes with risk. If you’re not ready to smash and grab then don’t. The risker routes usually have more gold, but this is an endless runner. There’s always the opportunity to grab more if you’re still on your feet

Always Grab The Gold Magnet

Talking Tom Time Rush includes a whole ton of special power-ups, including shields, jetpacks, and the always invaluable magnets. These obvious additions to any racetrack can be found littered around the course and all you’ll have to do to pick them up is run through them. The jetpack will boost any of the gang up over the racetrack and above any potential pitfalls for a short time while unlocking a whole new level of gold to collect. The shield will provide protection from bumping into an obstacle. Think of it as an extra life for a limited time. The magnet is probably the most useful drawing all gold right to players for a short stint. With the magnet equipped, there’s always the option of taking the safest route and still getting all the gold.

Take A Turn

Talking Tom Tim Rush doesn’t just make a straight line for the finish line. While you run through time and space, you’ll notice splits in the road. Taking a left or right turn will almost always give Tom and co a way to gather a bunch more gold and take an alternative route around a particular setting. These side paths are more challenging than the main path. They also contain a lot more gold, so exploring side paths is a great way to increase your score by taking a little more risk.

Jump and Run

Keep an eye out for super jumps while running and use every opportunity to get up off the main road. Super jumps are often telegraphed by an up-facing arrow in the middle of the road. While they won’t get as much aerial time as jetpacks, they do tend to provide extra gold. Some of these will deposit runners on top of obstacles, allowing nibbler athletes to jump then swipe left or right to stay up high and switch between lanes while still in the air.

Talking Tom Time Rush Stickers

Ad A Little Extra

Talking To Time Rush allows players to pick up a limited number of in-game items for watching ads. If you’re looking to avoid spending cash but get a small nudge forward then about a minute’s worth of ad time will drop a pack of stickers and some reward chests into your inventory at specified intervals. While there is also an option to spin for prizes, anybody with a limited time should grab these promo chests from the in-game cart icon.

Alongside stickers and gold bars, these chests can also drop an invaluable premium currency, Silver Paws. Silver paws can be used like continue coins when racing, so anybody looking to keep on running will want a few of these in the back pocket. While I’m always going to be clear that in-game advertisements should be viewed by a suitably mature audience, there’s an opportunity to get ahead in the race to catch those Rakoonz by watching ads wisely.

If you’re a fan of the talking Tom and Friends franchise and looking fro something a little different, then head over to our review of Talking Tom Time Rush and grab it for free on iOS and Android now.
