The 4070 Ti was finally revealed at CES 2023 during the NVIDIA keynote, and the newest card from team green is going to set gamers back a minimum of £799. Due to start shipping into desktops soon, the reveal of the latest entrant in the GPU wars is hardly a surprise but there is still plenty to be said about it.
Arriving in just two days, the 4070 Ti is essentially a rebranded and relaunched 12GB 4080. The now canceled low spec edition of the standard 4080 has more than a simple rebadge, however. Alongside the new name, this card gets a discount of roughly $100 bringing it in at an RRP of £799. It includes the aforementioned GDDR6X memory, 7,680 cores, 40 Shader TFLOPS, and generally clocks in with far more performance than the fairly recent 3090 Ti can muster. This comes coupled with support for even more efficient ray tracing and DLSS 3 technology. While Nvidia is busy showing off the likes of Witchfire on the show floor and on stream, it might be worth checking your bank balance, since we don’t think you’ll be seeing anything much at £799.
No Founder’s Edition
Alongside the big performance numbers, it’s likely that the price of the new 4070 Ti will also include some sizable figures too. Nvidia does not plan to produce a Founder’s Edition of the 4070 Ti, and while the cancellation of the 12GB 4080 means plenty of rebranded board stock, availability and cost is all down to board partners. Both Gigabyte and Zotac have already confirmed they will be bringing boards to the market, with Gigabyte’s social post looking far from bare bones.

Zotac has already slated four different variants of the 4070 Ti. These include the – AMP Extreme AIRO, the debut of the all-new AMP AIRO, Trinity OC, and Trinity. While the base model Trinity might land closer to that RRP, the OC and AMP models will all feature enhanced overclocking and engineering to provide even more FPS per additional dollar spent. For now, you can find out more about the Zotac range of 4070 Ti on the official website, or head over to the Nvidia website to browse the full specifications.
The 4080 12GB is dead. Long live the 4070 Ti because anything under $1000 seems like a bargain these days.
