Bethesda Softworks and ZeniMax Online Studios have released Neocrom, the latest expansion to The Elder Scrolls Online. The expansion is a beast with over 30 hours of content, two new zones to explore, and the Arcanist, a brand-new class that brings new gameplay opportunities to players. PC players can jump into the action right away. PlayStation and Xbox players must wait a wee bit longer until June 20th to start their new journey.
The Arcanist is the newest playable class and fulfills the community’s request to bring this type of character into TESO. This is the first new class since 2019’s Elsweyr expansion. As evident from all promotional materials, the Arcanist wields the forbidden powers of Apocrypha to deal damage, absorb incoming blows, and heal. Developers gave the community a peek at the Arcanist in a trailer showcasing its abilities and what precisely the Apocrypha does in that pursuit.
In addition to a new class to play with, MMOers also have two new regions to explore: Telvanni Peninsula and Apocrypha.
Home to the devious mages of House Telvanni and the city of Necrom, the Telvanni Peninsula’s towering mushroom forests might feel familiar to those who have ventured to other parts of Morrowind. This new zone contains a host of unique encounters for players to discover, including new side quests, world bosses, delves, public dungeons, and more.
Necrom also allows players to explore Hermaeus Mora’s realm of Apocrypha. While this mysterious part of Oblivion contains near-limitless knowledge, many mortals have lost their souls while navigating its endless libraries. Additionally, players can explore an all-new part of Aprocypha – Chroma Incognito. This new area is unlike anything seen, but like the rest of Apocrypha, it contains myriad hazards and secrets for players to discover.
