Bandai Namco Entertainment America has announced that One Piece Odyssey will be arriving on January 13, 2023. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. Pre-orders are now open for the highly anticipated story set in one of the most popular manga worlds ever. To celebrate the big news, the development team released a brand new trailer to tease what players can expect.
Three pre-order editions are available, each with its own set of in-game goodies and bonuses. These include:
- Standard Edition: This includes the base ONE PIECE ODYSSEY game
- Deluxe Edition: This includes the base game, the Deluxe Pack (Two Jewelry accessories, the Sniper King traveling outfit), the Adventure Expansion Pack (One Ultra Useful Accessory Set, additional Story DLC, and 100,000 Berries), and a Pre-Order Bonus (10x Energy Apples, 10x Excite Apples, 3x Golden Jellies, 100,000 Berries, and the Traveling Outfit set)
- Limited Edition Bundle (Available only thru the Bandai Namco Store): This includes the base game, an exclusive Luffy & Lim figurine (23x21x21 cm), and a Pre-Order Bonus (10x Energy Apples, 10x Excite Apples, 3x Golden Jellies, 100,000 Berries, and the Traveling Outfit set)
The game offers players an original story where the Straw Hat Crew sets off to a mysterious new island. They’ll embark on quests and fight enemies and “massive bosses”. Battles are accomplished through turn-based gameplay.
Players can take on the role of nine of their favorite pirates including Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, and Brook. The game also introduces several new characters developed “under the guiding hand of Eiichiro Oda, the series creator. It celebrates the original manga as it prepares to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
As always, the game will retain its charm, humor, and chemistry of the anime as well as star the series’ original Japanese voice actors.
