The Darkside Detective: A Fumble In The Dark Is Coming This April

The Darkside Detective: A Fumble In The Dark is set to read spooky ne’er do wells their rights when it hits PC and console on 15 April.

Publisher Akupara Games and Irish developers Spooky Doorway are set to bring us all the next updates in this supernatural detective series, Darkside Detective. Following up on the original paranormal activity of the very first Darkside Detective back in 2017, this new instalment of the serial adventure title is set to arrive on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox (compatible with Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X), Google Stadia, and PC on 15 April.

This time around, fans of the original title will return to the beat with Detective McQueen and Officer Dooley as they look into yet another series of extraordinary events on the mean streets and dusty attics of Twin Lakes. This town, that seems to be somewhere between Twin Peaks and the Twilight Zone, will once again play host to eerie goings on. McQueen and Dooley will spend this new round of cases cracking 6 chilling problems with their own mix of point and click detective work and comic mischief.

For those you that haven’t accompanied these two supernatural law enforcement officers before, the Darkside Detective series is a mix of charming pixel art point and click mechanics mixed with a silly sense of humor. You can expect constant riffing on modern pop culture phenomenon, other worldly and not, with the odd puzzle and more than a few demands for coffee and donuts from Dooley. If you haven’t already saved the day then there’s plenty of time to check out the first title from this indie series, which I couldn’t get enough of in our review,  before The Darkside Detective: A Fumble In The Dark hits PC and console next month. For now check out the new trailer above and head over to the Steam Store page to check out more about the upcoming case file.
