The Grinch Christmas Adventures Laying the Groundwork for Wintry Holiday Fun

Outright Games and Dr. Seuss Enterprises have announced that The Grinch: Christmas Adventures is ready to lay the groundwork for wintry holiday fun. Players can now purchase a copy of the game on multiple systems, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The game is based on the classic children’s book How the Grinch Stole Christmas and brings back one of literature’s most beloved (or infamous?) characters. In this new sidescrolling platformer, the titular fellow sets off with his faithful dog, Max, to try to ruin Christmas for the Whos. Players will complete dastardly missions to steal presents, but the spirit of Christmas intervenes at the last minute to save the day. Players will play through iconic locations with familiar Seuss-inspired graphics to help set the stage for all the action.

The Outright team released its official launch trailer to showcase the game’s setting, characters, and gameplay.

Players will complete puzzles to unlock special abilities and gadgets, including snowballs to freeze creatures in the way. These include a Santa disguise for stealthy sneaking, a lasso candy cane, and a jumping jetpack. Players will speed up their devious tactics as they progress through Who-ville on a sleigh or snowboard. As the story progresses, players will discover the spirit of Christmas and help the Grinch’s heart grow three sizes.

The game will allow players to play solo or in 2-person couch co-op mode and is appropriate for gamers of all ages.
