That’s right everyone. You heard it from me. Obi-Wan Kenobi has finally released its first trailer. The word you would want to use to describe it could be nothing other than EPIC. Ewan McGregor returns to the role of Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi during his exile on Tatooine. He is watching over and protecting young Luke Skywalker from the Empire. The trailer was set to the Duel of the Fates, one of my absolute favorite music pieces in Star Wars. Here is the trailer.
As we explore the trailer there are numerous things to be seen. Our first live-action look at the Inquisitors and young Luke. Obi-Wan is a bit older but still looks like the good old master we all know and love. Hello There! We see the character of Owen Lars as he is played in Revenge of the Sith. It is amazing that this is finally becoming a reality and I don’t care that it is a limited series. Seeing this story played out on screen takes all of the imaginings of a small boy and brings them all to life.
We don’t see Anakin Skywalker as the Iconic Darth Vader, nor do we see the Emperor. By this time both are high in power and searching for the remaining Jedi to wipe them out forever. We hope to see some of favorite characters from the prequels and other characters maybe leading into Rebels and see where it all goes. Obi-Wan Kenobi is releasing its first episode on May 25th and you can watch it exclusively on Disney+.
