The Sims 4 – Take a Look at the Past, Present & Future of the Game

Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Maxis have taken to the official site of The Sims 4 to provide a glimpse at the past, present and the bright future of the series. For the past 22 years, the series has been an incredible platform of creativity, self-discovery and imaginative expression. The team is all-in on The Sims and will continue to create meaningful stories.

Here’s a look at what’s to come for The Sims.

  • The Sims 4 base game is now available for free, with more content being developed into the foreseeable future;
  • The next generation of The Sims is currently in development;
  • The Sims is building on its relationships with creators;
  • Exciting new updates for The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile.

That’s right, the base version of The Sims 4 is now available for free on PC via EA App or Origin, Mac via Origin, Steam, PS5, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Simmers who have purchased The Sims 4 base game by October 17 will receive the Desert Luxe Kit as a gift. Desert Luxe Kit allows Sims to soak up the sun and relax in their own modern oasis.

If you haven’t tried your hand at the game before, now is the perfect time to experience the magic and discover new ways to play, tell stories, and build your dream creations.
