Crystal Dynamics and Marvel Entertainment have announced the deployment of the massive 2.7 update that brings the Winter Soldier into Marvel’s Avengers. In addition, players will find the new four-player Cloning Lab Omega-Level Threat Mission to try out and the retooled MODOK, one of the game’s toughest end-game challenges.
To showcase Bucky Barnes, aka the Winter Soldier, developers sent out a series of trailers including the general update launch trailer, the Winter Soldier abilities trailer, the Winter Soldier’s comic origins trailer, and more. Check them out below.
The Winter Soldier is a triple threat in the game. He is an assassin, brawler, and ranged specialist. “Barnes doesn’t like to lose and doesn’t back down from fights. The battlefield is the Winter Soldier’s home. After all he’s been through, there are few things he is sure of other than his fighting skills and his devotion to his allies.”
The Cloning Lab Omega-Level Threat Mission is one of the game’s truest tests of end-game teamwork. Players will need to utilize advanced tactics and full cooperative mode for four players. Players can earn more powerful gear for defeating the challenge. The best part is that the facility can be played live with up to four players. Solo players can customize their own team with three AI companions to take on the challenge.
Marvel’s Avengers is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Game Pass, Windows PC, and Steam.
