Old School Runescape is getting a new Grandmaster Quest, called Desert Treasure II: The Fallen Empire
Old School Runescape, the retro MMORPG from Jagex, just got a sequel to a 20 year old quest line. Desert Treasure II: The Fallen Empire lands in game today, and follows on from the original Desert treasure Quest from the days before modern Runescape. Returning to the Mahjarrat storyline, this brand new quest could change everything. Aside from uncovering rare loot, this Grandmaster Quest explores a total of four new areas.
Each new environment that awaits hosts plenty of its own problems, and our fearsome new bosses. Each of these encounters introduce new challenges. Every boss battle brings different abilities to the fight, mechanics, and strategies that will test you. Fortunately, they also guard an ancient vault full of riches. Jagex also muttered something implications that could upend Gielinor, On the other hand, treasure?!
The rewards here include our new best-in-slot rings to boost strength, ranged skills, magic, and melee, as well as a fully upgraded Ancient Sceptre which gets stronger with every defeated boss. If you’re considering some time in the sun then there’s no better way than to try your luck at finding gold in them there sand dunes. Once you’re done head back and beat the bosses again for even more rewards too.
