Torchlight Infinite developer X.D Inc has confirmed that heroes are required when the anticipated ARPG launches open beta testing in October.
Just off the heels of a TapTap presents appearance, Torchlight Infinite dropped more news of potential crows waiting for this new adventure. Fans of the franchise will be able to take to the big and small screen when open beta testing goes live. While we don’t have a specific date for the go live, we did get a new glimpse at the in game action to accompany this news. A new trailer dropped ahead of the event which delves into the narrative of this ne entry.
Set in a grim time for the heroes of Torchlight, Infinite is all about finding a spark of hope in a grim scenario. Based on lore from the original Torchlight, players can experience a new story in an apocalyptic era where danger lurks around every corner. Along the way, a select band of characters are about to take on a darkness that seems intent of sweeping across the land and pushing the average citizen from their homestead.
As well as introducing some key characters, the new trailer also gives us another glimpse of the fluid in game combat, backed up by a solid progression system where players select a character and tweak it to their own particular playstyle. A flexible upgrade system streamlines the original Torchlight’s build system, while cramming n a wealth of options, 230+ skills, and a Six Gods Talent System.
Meet Thea
While we’ve already gone hands on with this impressive band of warriors, X.D also announced that the newest, and sixth of this group will soon make an appearance. Oracle Thea, a goddess with magical powers who has a strong connection to the moon will make a debut in “Beyond Destiny,” where players can get a glimpse into the future through Thea’s eyes and see the danger that lies ahead.
