Turn on the Siren - Police Simulator: Patrol Officers Expansion Announced

Aesir Interactive and astragon Entertainment have announced a new expansion for Police Simulator: Patrol Officers. The Highway Patrol expansion will arrive this summer and offer players more territory to explore in and around the Brighton Police Department’s jurisdiction. The action takes place on the vast highways surrounding the city in the wider State of Franklin.

The new announcement trailer offers a peek inside the expansion’s features and locations, including entrance/exit ramps, overpasses, interchanges, and the overall size of the map.

Players will have a host of new activities to engage in while patrolling the highways. Examples include car chases, requesting roadblocks, using PIT maneuvers, laying down spike strips, and other strategies to apprehend criminals. But it’s not all simply fun and chases. Players will also have to deal with other, less thrilling activities such as accidents, putting out fires, gathering up debris, and more.

Other features include

  • At the weigh stations, you have to investigate whether the trucks are still within the legal limits—after all, there’s only so much a truck is allowed to transport. In addition, papers must be inspected, and the truck should be checked for potentially illegal items.
  • Along the highway, several drivers will require your assistance. A broken-down car? Find out what’s going on! Is someone driving suspiciously? Make sure they’re not DUI! The citizens of Franklin will be thankful for your ongoing commitment.
  • The Highway Patrol Expansion will include two beautiful new patrol cars. The Interstate Police Vehicle might be a throwback to the past, but even in our modern present, it will always look and feel cool. The Endurance Police Vehicle is an incredibly powerful SUV, tailored for pursuits and perfect for intercepting fleeing drivers, thanks to a heavy-duty device that can be used to stop fleeing vehicles at full speed.

All players will receive a number of game improvements regardless whether or not they own the expansion. These include better AI that reacts to your moves, improved car physics and damage models, NPV designs added, and more.
