The brooding soundtrack for Warhammer 40,000 Darktide is now available to listen to on Spotify and it’s a the perfect festive alternative.
Sick of tinsel laden Christmas jingles? Try something a bit different with the brand new Warhammer 40,000: Darktide soundtrack. The audio accompaniment to Fatshark’s latest instalment in the Tide trilogy is now available on Spotify. Written and recorded by award-winning composer Jesper Kyd, this 48 track assembly is a mix of choral inspiration, brooding menace, and triumphant orchestral imaginings.
Set in a universe where the Imperium is ruled by the Emperor of Mankind, a sovereign of one million worlds, the new entry in my Monday morning playlist reflects this with a rousing performance by the Budapest Scoring Choir. This revelry is accompanied by a world full of living machines. The Yamaha synths and driving baselines that permeates these more doom laden compositions are a little reminiscent of an od 1970s folk sci-fi dystopia. The perfect way to escape the Jingle Jam for those of you not quite feeling it yet.
