There’s no need to ait on the Emperor’s command, Fatshark has kicked off the pre-launch beta play for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

Available now and ready to flush the city of Tertium of any resistance, the Pre-Order Beta for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is now live. Players who have or will put money down ahead of the 30 November release will get to hack, slash, burn, and blast their way through the road to launch.

As of today, players can group up as part of an elite band of outcasts and take on 4 missions across 4 zones. These early glimpses of the carnage that awaits are just the start, with more missions coming over the next couple of weeks. Developer Fatshark will also push play on a range oof in game events, allowing players to progress their characters and carry over the bloody experience to the final headlong march into Tertium. For anybody who wants to escape the drudgery of normal life in the Imperium, Darktide is the third in the ‘Tide-verse’. Following on from a different sort of dark age, Darktide takes the establish co-op cut and thrust of both Vermintides and places it firmly in the 40K universe. This 4-player experience pits you and your comrades into a sci-fi dystopian future fantasy future full of Xenos, gothic structures, imposing industrial death, and lots of explosions. This pre-release event is just a glimpse of what’s coming.

If you’re looking to join the attack, then Warhammer 40,000 comes in two flavors. The full game is available on Steam for $39.99 while the Imperial Edition comes in at $59.99, and contains the following bonuses:

• The Atoman Star Weapon Trinket: A cosmetic weapon trinket awarded to those who answered in the hour of Atoma’s need.
• Vanguard of the Imperium Portrait Frame: A cosmetic portrait frame reserved for those first to enter the fray and last to leave it.

The Warhammer 40,000: Darktide – Imperial Edition

• Loyalist Pack: Purge heresy in style with these 4 unique class outfits, 8 weapon skin patterns, one headgear, and an Ogryn body tattoo.
• Mortis Veteran Portrait Frame: A cosmetic portrait frame used to pay tribute to the fallen defenders of Tertium Hive.
• Caducades Backpack: A cosmetic backpack for human characters. Scavenged from the fallen troops of Cadia, this backpack has been repurposed to serve those still alive and fighting.
• 2500 Aquilas (premium currency)
