Vermintide 2 is the sequel to the first of this series and builds on the iconic moments of the 2015 original. Playing like a dark fantasy iteration of Left 4 Dead, a ruinous land lies before the five heroes of this story. It’s up to players to pick a character, work together to cut down even more Skaven and the forces of Chaos in a brutal mashing of bones and burning flesh. Along the way, the regular upgrade systems re enhanced by a unique set of talent trees and a story that explores the darker side of a dying world. For most of us, however, this is a chance to jump in and play a devastating good first person co-op filled with bloody battles, huge bosses, and plenty of visceral combat. There’s even a free DLC due to drop on the 8 November, titled Trail of Treachery. An appropriately wintery add on for a November release, it is the first half of a two part tale.
