While the denizens of Azeroth are left gaping at the wound in the sky that appeared the moment Sylvanas Windrunner shattered the Lich King’s Helm of Domination, the restless Scourge begins to wreak havoc across the world. The first week of the Shadowlands pre-expansion event is now available with the champions of the Horde and the Alliance are being called upon to face this threat – and loot some epic gear along the way.
This two-part Scourge event comes as part of the pre-expansion content update introduced last month, which features:
- Revamped leveling experience taking players to the new level cap of 50, which will increase to level 60 in Shadowlands.
- Exile’s Reach, a complete overhaul of WoW’s new player experience with its own epic story and introducing new and returning players to the game’s core elements.
- Hundreds of new character customization options.
- Item and stat level adjustments to support the new level adjustments.
If you are wondering what kind of new stuff can be acquired during the first week – Achievements, Unique Appearance Gear, Toys, Mounts, Pets… There is not that much to tackle just yet. The only unique reward purchasable with the new currency is the Geist pet. The catch-up gear, roughly of the same ilvl as the Normal Nya’lotha, shares the same models as BfA Season 1 PvP Gear (Arathi Warfront).
Players can also head out to fight a new World Boss – Nathanos Blightcaller.
Let’s hope the new content coming in week 2 makes the content of the Scourge Invasion match the epic events that are rocking Azeroth.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will be arriving on November 23rd.
