Wanted: Dead Crosses Swords With Tokyo Game Show Attendees

Wanted: Dead dropped an intense combat teaser as 110 Industries takes this intense hack and slash adventure to Tokyo Game Show.

It’s fair to say that Wanted: Dead seriously impressed us during Gamescom 2022. Now the near future action adventure is about to cut up the critics at TGS. Ahead of some impending success, the team behind this new mix of Yakuza turned cyberpunk Ninja Gaiden has dropped a combat teaser trailer. Giving potential recruits to Zombie Squad a look at the cut and thrust of this game, and the play styles available, the new trailer is a assortment of relentless melee sword combat, thrilling gunplay, and visceral limb severing systems.

Players who pick up the sword at TGS will get a little bit more than the rest of us, jumping into battle with a squad of kitted out comrades, a gun , and a sword. As squad leader Lt. Hannah Stone, they will drop into a dark and deadly vision of cyberpunk Hong Kong. All around this near future metropolis, corpos and killers seem set on thwarting the police and it takes a separate breed of officers to get the job done.

What lies beyond the first few steps is a blisteringly fast, utterly over the top mix of combat, fueled by mix of advanced weaponry and lo-tech 90s retro-futurism. Assault rifles, SMGs, LMGs and grenade launchers swap hands with deadly blades weapons and combine to create a devastating combo system that is difficult to pin down.

Even if you’re not fantastic at pulling off finishing moves, the wealth of mini games available in the main hub are likely to have people being dragged off the booth at the end of their session too.

Taking inspiration from classics like Devil May Cry, Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Wanted: Dead is a barrel of fun and you can find out more over at the official website, or check out our Gamescom 2022 thoughts on Wanted: Dead the whole affair.
