Older EA Play Games To Try On Xbox Game Pass For PC

EA Play

You may not have heard, but Microsoft just added EA Play to Xbox Game Pass for PC. Who am I kidding, of course, you did. And you’ve been playing all the Star Wars: Squadrons, Madden 21, and Anthem you could get your hands on. Ok, maybe not Anthem, but definitely the others. The addition of EA Play isn’t just about all the latest hits, though. EA has been publishing great games for decades and many of their iconic series are now available. So when the newness of all the recent hits wears off, be sure to check out the hits we’ve highlighted here. They are all over a decade old, but just like fine wine, they’ve gotten better with age.

Burnout Paradise Remastered

  • Initial Release Date: January 22, 2008
  • Developer: Criterion Software
  • Genre: Arcade Racing

Forget about Forza, Burnout is by far the best racing series EVER! Get ready for high octane arcade racing with a fantastic soundtrack. Burnout Paradise has an open-world environment filled with lots of tracks, stunts, billboards to destroy, and, of course, crashes galore. Burnout Paradise Remastered, released in 2018, brought the 2008 hit into the modern era with 4k support. If only Burnout Paradise had Crash mode, it would be the GOAT.

Dragon Age Series

  • Initial Release Date: November 3, 2009
  • Developer: BioWare
  • Genre: Fantasy RPG

The Dragon Age series is the dark fantasy sibling to BioWare’s Mass Effect franchise. Dwarves, elves, big ass axes, and lots of evil to slay, complete with branching dialogue and romance options. With Dragon Age 4 still under development, now is the perfect time to jump into the first three games of the franchise. Mass Effect series.

Medal of Honor: Allied Assault Warchest

  • Initial Release Date: January 20, 2002
  • Developer: 2015 Games
  • Genre: First-Person Shooter

Move over Call of Duty, the real OG has been transferred to G(ame Pass) Company and is ready to make an assault on PCs everywhere. The third title in the MoH franchise, Allied Assault originally hit the battlefield in 2002, followed by its two expansions, Spearhead and Breakthrough. It was a visual marvel for its time and is the perfect way to experience just how hard first-person shooters were back in the day. We didn’t even have aim assist!

Spore

  • Initial Release Date: September 4, 2008
  • Developer: Maxis
  • Genre: Civilization builder

While everyone else was complaining about the idiotic creatures inhabiting the planets of the No Man’s Sky universe, I was reminded of all the silly creatures I had created playing Spore. In Spore, you play god as you take a single cell from the primordial soup and progress through five evolutionary stages, eventually creating a civilization that will reach out to the stars. Or possibly die on the vine, depending on how good you are at making choices.

Deadspace

  • Initial Release Date: October 23, 2008
  • Developer: Visceral Games
  • Genre: Survival Horror

Still as scary today as it was when it released 13 years ago, Deadspace is the quintessential sci-fi horror survival game. Blood, gore, alien zombies, nightmares for days after you finish playing; it’s all there. Do you know what isn’t included? Unlimited air.
