Phantasy Star Online 2 CBT signups begin

If you’re one of those folks who’s been waiting for the arrival of Phantasy Star Online 2 in the west, your wait is finally coming to a close after what seems like an eternity! Sega has announced that signups for closed beta testing are now open for those with an Xbox Insider membership. It is currently only available for players in the US and Canada. Those who sign up for CBT will be notified once the dates for testing are finalized.

PSO2 will eventually be released for PC, though it will come later than the “spring 2020” release on Xbox One. It is also likely to come to other platforms, though those remain a mystery. All we know is that Microsoft’s Phil Spencer has said that eventually, the game will “end up on all platforms” and presumably all regions, though no information is available for an EU release.
