Public gaming conventions bring out some phenomenal cosplay, and Gamescom 2018 was no exception. Studios like Blizzard hosted cosplay competitions on its stage, encouraging gamers to dress up as characters from Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and more. Publishers like THQ took a different approach, hiring professional cosplayers to dress up as the lead character in Darksiders III. Other fans simply chose their favorite from existing games and franchises, or even went off on a theme of their own.
Whatever the reason, it’s always impressive to see the lengths fans go to put these costumes together, carefully assembling outfits and building props to represent a character. It takes plenty of dedication and practice, but the results speak for themselves.
