Academia: School Simulator is set to graduate from Early Access and launch across PC and consoles on 28 January.
While plenty of you will be sick of the idea of more online schooling, don’t despair. Academia: School Simulator is a charming top down management game that takes a pinch of Schoo Daze and mixes in some classic Two Point Hospital tactical management to carry your seat of learning to the top of the league tables. After breaking into Early Acces back in 2017, and enrolling nearly 100,000 players, Academia: School Simulator passed its mocks and is ready for the real thing.
Developed by Squeaky Wheel Studio, Academia allows players to take charge and build their very own institution of learning. What might seem like a simple exercise is, in practice, almost as chaotic as the real thing. While there won’t be any zoom home room or mic problems, school heads will need to build from the ground up to ensure success. You’ll be able to include facilities like science labs, basketball courts, and art rooms, or do the bare minimum and live off government subsidies! Alongside building toilets for the poor pooping attendees, you’ll need to manage their motivation, meet their educational and emotional needs, and keep the faculty in line.
With tons of potential build options and a broad curriculum, Academia: School Simulator looks like a great escape without having to open an actual textbook. While it’s not going to replace the real thing, you can jump in and create your own customized school seal on 28 January when Academia: School Simulator lands across PC and Console. You can still grab it at the Early Acess pricing via Steam and Humble over on the official Academia website now.
