Prepare your party, Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available on PlayStation 5!
Grab the Bard, we’re off out again, and this time we need some nimble fingers. Baldur’s Gate 3, the massive new RPG from Larian Studios, is done conquering PC platforms and is now available on PlayStation 5. For fans of the RPG genre looking to table the tabletop action of D&D to the couch, this is the perfect opportunity to try one of the best. Players picking up this version will find themselves back in the Forgotten Realms where you’ll forge a party and try to turn a dark presence against itself I in an epic journey.
Of course, moving the might of a tabletop experience over to a DualSense controller is no mean feat. Frontier had to take a totally different approach to the traditional RTS during our Warhammer Realms of Ruin preview, Now Larian is attempting a similar jump with this title. Much like other successful ports, Baldur’s Gate 3 has been built for the PS5 from day one, and much work has gone into delivering the game’s complexities in just a few buttons and triggers. Using the PlayStation 5 DualSense Controller, access to actions, spells, long rests and items becomes a matter of muscle memory. You’ll be able to delve into the technical changes required to make this an easy sidestep in their recent PlayStation Blog post.
The move onto Sony’s platform means that players will also now get cross-save compatibility between PS5 and PC. Whether you’re using PlayStation Remote Play or streaming via a Shadow instance, your characters, party, and progression will all continue Baldur’s Gate 3. Check out more on the official website and pick up this acclaimed adventure for £65.99 or local equivalent on PlayStation storefronts.
