It’s time for Blizzcon 2019 and the opening ceremony is now in the bag. After a rocky 2018 Blizzcon, we all were expecting big things from 2019. So what’s coming from Blizzard? Read on to find out!
Diablo 4 finally announced
It’s official! Diablo 4 has finally been announced through a cinematic trailer.
Luis Barriga, the D4 game director, came to the stage next. “Diablo 4 is dark. You just saw the cinematic, you know it’s true. We are going back to the franchise’s darker roots.”
It will be coming to PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Three classes were revealed, though more are coming: Barbarian, Sorceress, and Druid. From there, we got a bit of gameplay in the first-ever trailer that also seems to show mounted combat and a dark world on fire. Other features we noticed were things like climbing, long jumps, and, yes, PvP in special zones.
Starcraft II, Heroes of the Storm
Arturs Mengsk is coming to SC2 as the next co-op commander.
Heroes of the Storm fans at Blizzcon will be able to play as Deathwing, the next hero coming to the Nexus. All heroes are free in HotS through November 10th.
Warcraft III Reforged
The beta is growing and expanding. All attendees and virtual ticket holders will be granted access beginning Tuesday. The release date will be announced “soon”.
World of Warcraft
WoW Classic will be updated with the PvP honor system, world bosses, and more the week of November 12th.
The WoW charity pet will benefit Make-a-Wish and WE.org that provides food, shelter, water, and educational opportunities to kids around the world. The WoW charity pet is Dottie, the “adorable alpaca”. All proceeds from now through the end of the year go to the two mentioned charities.
The 15th Anniversary events will begin on Tuesday, November 5th. This includes three special anniversary raids which, when completed, will earn a Deathwing mount.
The next WoW expansion has been announced with a cinematic trailer that shows Sylvanas mounting its steps to confront Bolvar, the current Lich King. It appears that Sylvanas takes the Helm of Domination from Bolvar and breaks it to reveal the Shadowlands.
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is the next expansion.

Hearthstone
A cinematic trailer introduced the next Hearthstone trailer. It is taking place in Northrend and is called Descent of Dragons.
Overwatch
Jeff Kaplan, Overwatch game director, took the stage after a retrospective cinematic. The story so far…
A second cinematic trailer was shown, this time to introduce Overwatch 2! It will include PvE story missions, Echo and Sojourn, a pair of new heroes, Hero Missions, replayable co-op, hero progression, ability customization, the “Push” PvP mode, new PvP maps including Toronto, and new looks for many of the heroes.
All Overwatch cosmetics come forward with you into OW2. All of the new maps will also be included in the original game.
