Standing Stone Games has announced that The Lord of the Rings is primed and ready to celebrate its 16th anniversary in Middle-earth. The beloved MMORPG is inviting past and present players to join in the fun from now through May 11th where they can celebrate in style. Among the activities, players can participate in an epic scavenger hunt, take part in specially-themed anniversary quests, and set off a blooming array of fireworks.
Activities include
- The Anniversary Scavenger Hunt – Players can look back at the game’s history while visiting – or re-visiting – some of its greatest locations through a huge series of quests.
- Anniversary Festival Quests – Many quests associated with the Anniversary event can be picked up by visiting Bree, the Methel-stage, Thorin’s Gate, the Horse Races, and The Party Tree.
- A Flurry of Fireworks! – Players will be tasked with helping to bring about the greatest fireworks display Bree-land has ever seen. Earn festivity tokens to redeem for prizes and rewards!
