Telltale has announced that pre-orders for The Expanse: A Telltale Series have started, and to celebrate, devs have released a “belta-tastic” new trailer. The trailer reveals the story behind the upcoming game as well as offers viewers a peek at gameplay, impressions, and interviews.
The game’s first episode is being prepared for a July 27th release date for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Epic Games Store. Subsequent chapters will be released every two weeks following the first. According to the team, this allows players to explore other choices between releases.
Two pre-order editions are offered to players: Standard for $39.99 and Deluxe for $44.99. Both offer players a 24-hour early access period on every episode. Deluxe edition players will also receive future DLC releases, though no information about what those will entail is available.
“It’s been a long journey resurrecting such a beloved brand, but we are finally here and can’t wait to share our first new game,” said Jamie Ottilie, Telltale CEO. “We couldn’t be more proud of the work from the teams at Deck Nine and Telltale. We are thrilled to be back with new stories to tell!”
