Time to have a grand day out and escape the winter season in space I think lad! Wallace & Gromit are about to bring us all on a winter getaway into the farthest reaches of outer space. But first, a trailer. Publisher Astrea just released a new teaser for the hilarious new romp with Ardman’s famous clay faces. Due to land on the Meta Quest platform, this inaugural foray into VR territory brings a treasured British away for a few days holiday filled with wit, humor, and the trademark inventiveness of these iconic characters.
Players taking a look at the teaser will get a glimpse of the chaos that ensues when the two try to take a shortcut to Bognor Regis, using a rocket. Accompanied by their new golfing contraption Auto-Caddy and their assistant Beryl, these two soon bumble around Mars. Expect plenty of silliness in an immersive experience that will delight fans of the films. No were-rabbits in sight!
While Gromit’s Away
This isn’t the only game coming out of West Yorkshire. While these two are away on Mars. In an inventive mix of jam and projectile yeast, Meta Quest owners will get to try out a new patented ‘jam-to-toast delivery system’. Jamtastic will transform real-world spaces with 30 unique levels of fruity fun. The more they test the more they unlock, taking delivery of new, wonderfully chaotic challenges testing jam-firing timing, accuracy and speed. Mostly, it seems to consist of plying jelly and breaded madness. Nothing new for these two. Along the way, Wallace will check in from The Grand Getaway, and hopefully nothing gets broken.

The Meta Quest exclusivity means that we won’t immediately see it on Steam VR and HTC headsets, and the release will continue to strengthen the ex Oculus platform’s strength int he gaming market.
