Chernobylite Green Walls Update Adds Hardcore Content Today

Chernobylite Green Walls - player by a green flame

Chernobylite the eerie adventure from The Farm 51 and All in! Games gets a new Green Walls update today and a new hardcore game mode.

The unwaveringly unnatural tale that crept out of the Chernobyl exclusion zone and onto gaming screens during 2019 is getting a new update today. Chernobylite’s Green Walls DLC is set to introduce a swathe of free content to this supernatural experience, giving players a new weapon, more to explore, and an unforgiving game mode.

Anybody who feels like they’ve already seen everything the ghoulish creatures of Chernobylite can offer might be in for a surprise when Green Walls arrives. Following on from ‘Between Other Worlds‘ update, this third add on of its kind comes with a hardcore game mode. One life is on the line, yours. Well, Igor’s to be precise. You’ve got one save to play through this challenge and a new condition to manage. Characters will slowly seep into madness and decrease any companion morale, so you’ll want to make sure you have enough Chernobylite to hand. In addition, things get tougher without the ability to loot weapons and with a general increase in difficulty too.

Thankfully players looking for something a little less intense will get to explore a new region of the Chernobyl exclusion zone. Modeled on the real life region of this unnatural disaster, players will be able to explore two powerful but never completed structures situated near reactors 5 and 6, where a very high level of radiation is recorded even today. There’s something for weapon enthusiasts as well—in Chernobylite Green Walls DLC, you can get the legendary Soviet weapon: the automatic Makarov pistol.

Anybody eager to get a close look that hasn’t picked up Chernobylite can catch it on The Mix Next showcase 27 October. The latest trailer for the game will be showcased during the event. You can watch the transmission from The Mix Next on Twitch or YouTube from 7pm CET / 10am PT. Until then, you can find out more about the game, and its previous DLC expansions, over on the official website now.
