Conquer The Old World as Total War: Pharoh Launches

Creative Assembly and Sega has unleashed Total War: Pharoh across PC.

Total War: Pharoh is available now, giving players a new way to command and conquer across the desert dunes. While the sands of Arrakis might be more appealing for some sci-fi fans, players looking for something a bit more terrestrial can now pick up the latest entry in the Total War series. Making a return to the historical roots of the franchise, thew newest campaign immerses players in the turbulent events of the Egyptian New Kingdom period. Along the way, players will make decisions that will determine the fate of three great cultures as they fight for survival amid the cataclysmic Bronze-Age Collapse.

Like any great strategy game, there’s plenty of combat alongside matters of empire, diplomacy, and economics. Stepping into a series of scenarios that draw inspiration from real history, this title bears witness to the death of Pharaoh Merneptah. From here you’ll need to conquer the Bronze Age. Spanning the fertile banks of the river Nile to the arid deserts of the Sinai Peninsula, and beyond, there’s far more than just conquest at hand. Before you wage war, you’ll need to charm the courts and praise the gods to earn a range of bonuses and strategic compromises. With an array of compelling systems to attend to and a brand-new Campaign Customisation feature, this seems like far more than a reskin of other entries.

Total War: Pharoh is available now. You can find out about all the gods and prepare yourself over on the official website now.
