Something wicked this way warps. Space faring MMO CSC has announced that pilots are about to get a whole host of new content for Halloween.
Beaming in on the 19 October, space-based MMORPG, CSC is set to launch a bunch of celebratory events out in the midst of the virtual cosmos this Halloween. While earthbound festivities are expected to be full of ghosts and ghouls, CSC has its own twist. Developer Lucid Sight will kick off a Candy Corn event in game that will seemingly warp space time and drop a whole new element onto the periodic table.

Starting on the 26 October, players heading out into the vast echelons of space will be able to collect candy corn. We’re not sure if that means we’re going to see monstrous candy corn asteroids floating around, but we do know that isn’t the only way to get candy corn in your cargo hold. You’ll definitely be able to grab candy corn from NPC drops that will pop up around mining spawns, as well as through a few other encounters. The point of this sweet currency is to collect and trade this Candy Corn for one of the 666 possible Halloween Crates. With only 666 in-game crates available, ship commanders are going to have to be quick to gather 6,666 Candy Corn and pilage the pool of in-game rewards. These haunted goodies could contain 1 of 6 possible skins and one lucky Candy Corn Crate will also feature a rare ship.
In addition, CSC will have 6,666 Halloween crates for purchase, that feature 1 of 6 possible Skins or 1 of 5 potential Ships as a Halloween treat. Five lucky crates will include a very rare ship! These include the Burning Jack, Bones, Ghost, Bloody Werewolf, and Restless Souls. We’re also expecting CSC to give away a bunch of other in game items via other online giveaways too.
the Halloween season isn’t the only thing CSC are celebrating. After a recent launch, and a few notable tie ins with series like Star Trek, the online space MMO has racked up over 800,000 missions completed and a massive 460,000 hours played. Remember, this is a game that only launched in September 2020. For anybody who hasn’t jumped into the cockpit, CSC is a casual space MMO with fast-paced combat, a robust player economy, and an uncapped crafting system. The sandbox universe and player-driven economy give players the sort of freedom that made EvE and EvE Echoes massively successful with offhand automation to make space a bit more accessible to those of us without the time and spreadsheet skills of a Corporation commander.
