Cultist Simulator Reaches Kickstarter Goal in 12 Hours

Cultist Simulator

Alexis Kennedy, known for his browser game Fallen London and mobile Sunless Sea, started a Kickstarter campaign on September 1 for a new project. He originally planned to gather £30,000 for Cultist Simulator to see the light of the day. However, gamers have already pledged £57,600 and there are still 26 days to go.

OKA WE’RE MAKING THIS GAME. Imma bring the dawn. SERIOUSLY you people have exceeeded my expectations in quite a terrifying way. I am very nearly going to ask you to stop giving me money but I’m not quite there yet.

I’m going to bed please don’t have tattooed anyone when I get up I love you all

The latest updates on the Kickstarter pages are all about stretch goals. However, the response of the majority of players was: We backed the project, not the possibility of stretch goals. We want the best game possible. Don’t do anything that might imperil the project. And the developers intend on doing just that – creating the best game possible.

The project is turn-based card game, offering players your usual cultist actions: searching for ancient artifacts, participating in unholy rituals, recruiting people to join your cult and so on. You can find out more about the game following the link above.
