Darkpaw Games has announced the release of the latest expansion to its venerable MMO, EverQuest. Laurion’s Song takes its place in the game’s history by becoming the thirtieth expansion since the MMORPG launched in 1999. That’s more than one expansion a year, folks.
Developers have released a terrific new trailer to showcase the new story and activities players can expect when they launch Laurion’s Song.
A door appears in the Plane of Tranquility. The heroes of Norrath walk through to find a warm and cozy-looking building. Light from the windows illuminates a clearing in a forest. Music and voices as well as the tantalizing smell of cooking meat and mead drift in the air. The inn’s presence invites adventurers to rest and revel after exhausting and dangerous exploits. Welcome to the Realm of Heroes, the place where the greatest heroes go when their adventures are over. Nobody remembers the last time anyone entered or left this place. Can you discover the mystery that lies under the façade of comfort and revelry?

Players can pick up a copy of the expansion in any one of three available versions: Standard for $34.99, Collector’s for $69.99, Premium for $139.99, or Family & Friends for $249.99. Each version comes with its own set of perks and more.
