Dimensional Ink Games has introduced the next epic chapter coming to DC Universe Online. The superhero MMORPG will be receiving Episode 44: The Sins of Black Adam in October. Content will be released simultaneously for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Black Adam continues to work to resurrect and rescue his wife Isis from the Underworld. In the latest adventure, he will go into the Underworld himself to deal directly with Neron once and for all. Players will have to dance delicate steps between good and evil, life and death, and love and despair.
Features include:
- The Sins of Black Adam will offer regular and elite versions of all On Duty content, along with level-agnostic event versions available for a limited time.
- The content will include open-world missions, with a duo, alert, and two raids.
- The episode will feature DC characters, including Black Adam, Shazam, Isis, and more.
- The storyline will include adventures in locations from Egyptian myth, including Infernal Kahndaq overrun by the Underworld.
- The episode will launch new player rewards, including gear, styles, and more.
The team also revealed plans for an all-new Homecoming seasonal event that has already started. It features the sisters Starfire and Blackfire alongside the Teen Titans, “and a great party” that all players are invited to attend.
Plans are in the works for Episode 45 which will be coming to the game in early 2023. Players will discover new allies and artifacts as well as the completion of the Custom Play On Duty UI. Next up will be an updated Allies UI.
Finally, I’m excited to share that progress on our native PlayStation 5 client is showing promise. We have the game fully up and rendering, and we’re into the (still very time-consuming) phase of identifying every adjustment that is needed to launch the game on a new system. I am also excited to share that work on the Xbox Series X client is underway as well. No, I don’t have any dates to share yet, but we’re getting there!
