Behaviour Interactive has scared up the 2022 Halloween event in Dead by Daylight. “Haunted by Daylight” is set to begin on Tuesday, October 11th and will run until Thursday, November 3rd. Players will be able to take part in celebrations with new store Collections, a new Archive Tome, and more. “Players will experience the Hall of Fame Horror under an ominous new light,” developers teased.
The actual Haunted by Daylight event kicks off in earnest on October 13th. Players will be able to unlock a plethora of cosmetic items and take on intense challenges. The lobby and loading screens are appropriately decked out in Halloween fare. Players will see fearsome pumpkins and frightful decorations. There is a new gameplay element where players collect and/or steal Void Energy. To what purpose remains to be seen. Lastly, new daily login rewards are available to make playing on a daily basis worthwhile.
DbD will be offering the world a free play event from October 27th to November 1st. This will allow players who have yet to purchase the game a chance to see the spookiness first-hand. Devs want everyone to know “why DbD is the place to be for Halloween.”
A new Tome is making its way into the game. Malevolence features memories of the Killer Ghost Face and Survivor Mikaela Reid. Playing through the Rift offers new Charms, Outfits, and an exclusive mask variation for Ghost Face.
The Dead by Daylight Store has several new goodies for the discerning player. These include:
- two Very Rare Outfits for The Oni and Albert Wesker
- the Ticks and Treats Collection contains exquisite Halloween Costumes including two Very Rare Outfits for Jane Romero and Dwight Fairfield
