Design A Droid And Get Famous With Main Assembly

Main Assembly design a droid

Main Assembly needs some help with form over function this month as the robot crafting title kicks off a community creation competition.

Main Assembly, a title that brings together your imagination and an incredible breadth of crafting tools is asking its community to get even more involved with the action before it hits Early Access on PC. This free form building title is due to hit shelves on 16 April 2020, but before that players can cobble together a cool looking consructo bot or a jumping pneumatotron in a bid to find their design featured in Main Assembly.

Main Assembly is the work of developer Bad Yolk games and Team 17. The very essence of this title is built around a bunch of magnificent robots. Playing as a quirky drone, players who pick up Main Assembly can use the freeform crafting tools to design and build a range of wild robots to perform whatever they need them to do. Giant scorpions, cars, and even jumping rabbits are all options in this sandbox title. It’s not all about cosmetics, however, and the game even includes a graphical programming language to get things moving. That’s right, you can build your own robot army!

Main Assembly is waiting on your creations now. You can design a droid and enter by uploading your creation on Twitter, tagging the @BadYolkGames account, and adding the hashtag #MACommunityCreationCompetition. Alternatively, head over to the official Discord to upload your creation. As long as you don’t kick out a gold plated service droid then there’s nothing to stop you from getting involved. Jump on over to the official website now to find out more. If you do fancy a gold plated service droid with a quirky English accent, maybe we need to reconsider that prophecy again.
