Diablo Immortal Shared Closed Beta Overview

Blizzard Entertainment announced that Diablo Immortal is entering its Closed Beta testing phase, bringing the game one step closer to worldwide launch.

Following the development update made in August, the team gathered feedback from across social channels like Reddit, in-game surveys, etc. and saw many opportunities to iterate on key gameplay systems.

The game saw the addition of a new class: the Necromancer.

Haunt your foes with the dead, so even the demons of the Burning Hells will feel dread.

Reanimate corpses to protect the living. Curse the damned with baneful skills. Inflict pestilence on the enemy. Alienated and shunned by society, those who underestimate your power are ignorant of their grave mistake. Only your commands echo in eternity. Raise the dead. Raise the stakes. The Necromancer is here (one of six classes that will be available at worldwide launch).

Additionally, the game saw the following improvements:

  • Cycle of Strife (PvP) update
  • Update to other PvP systems such as the addition of Battleground Ladder
  • Set items have been added
  • Enhanced item drops
  • The Helliquary update (8 player PvE)
  • Other PvE updates
  • The team is working to provide Diablo Immortal with full controller support
  • Tuning & polishing affecting Codex, Paragon & XP systems
  • Closed Beta will, for the first time, enable in-game purchasing on Android devices

PLEASE NOTE: All purchases made during Closed Beta will be credited to the account used as in-game balance at game launch. In-game progress will be wiped when Closed Beta has completed. For example: If you spend $5.00 during the Closed Beta, when you download Diablo Immortal at official launch and connect your Battle.net account, you’ll receive a $5.00 in-game credit. You will then have the option to apply this in-game credit when you make real-money purchases.
